Where To Get Your Creative Fix In Norwich

Where to go in Norwich to top up your creative inspiration.

We wanted to celebrate and share with you some exciting places in Norwich for getting a creative fix. Norwich is a city of rich culture which is always staging new exhibitions. Here are our four favourite places to be creative and explore art and design.

  • Moosey Art – This independent gallery popped up in Norwich in 2013. It is the place that represents the new wave of artists who owe their inspiration to the likes of Blek El Rat (The original Banksy) and Alexandre Farto aka Vhils.
  • Sainsburys Centre – Set in a beautiful building you can find an ever changing selection of high quality exhibitions. This is the place to go to absorb a little culture, learn a bit about humanity and enjoy a varied selection of artefacts, sculpture and collections.
  • The Undercroft – The hidden gallery. This little space is easily missed despite being in the heart of the city. It is located just in front of City Hall under the WW2 memorial. The opening times vary as it’s displays are ever changing. The exhibitions are curated by avant garde local artists. This Saturday, the 25th of February, there is a pop up shop by Vamos, where work from Callum Beasley, Cara Wyatt, William Webb, Liv Girling, James Knight and others is on display. Oh, and if you are looking for the way in, its at the top of the market opposite the Norwich Guild Hall!
  • Print To The People – This open workshop is one of the best places in Norwich to get creating some art rather than just appreciating it. They have classes you can book for groups as well as excellent facilities you can rent for a very reasonable price.

What are your favourite art and design places in Norwich? We would love to hear from you.

Don’t forget to share this post to spread the word!
