Walled Garden Community Shop – Logo Design

As a part of our CSR strategy and ongoing work with Norfolk Pro Help we feel privileged to be apart of this new community led project based in Little Plumstead in Norfolk. The Little Plumstead community have had approval and funding to build a community-owned shop, café and garden in the historic walled garden on the Little Plumstead hospital estate. They were looking for a logo and visual identity that portrayed the new business as friendly and eye-catching whilst being professional. We wanted to create an identity that reflected both the historic nature of the site as well as the modern building that will be created. We used this juxtaposition of new and old to steer the brand’s personality, tone and visual aesthetic. We brought together a mix of hand drawn type, Victorian styled illustration and a second, supporting, contemporary typeface. The brand colours were drawn from images of flora from British gardens.

The Walled Garden Cafe & shop identity has been developed to thrive across all digital, social and printed collateral. It will be great to see the even more of the brand’s personality as the project moves on to the signage, interior design.
