The Dementia Alliance was established to help improve the care available for people living with dementia. The organisation provides advice and training for care workers to help increase awareness and enhance specialism in dementia care.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Dementia Alliance came to us to develop a brand that could be used on printed literature, promotional items and online. The logo that we developed is a representation of how the Dementia Alliance works hard to tackle the issues and uncertainties surrounding dementia care. Not only to enrich daily life for those living with dementia, but also to assist carers in their work. The device shows how an in-depth and complicated issue can be demystified by making the right information readily available. This device was then implemented across the brand as a continual line on business cards and brochures. The teal colour used was selected because of it’s calming and restorative nature.
We designed a training manual that was provided to care homes throughout the region to provide information and advice to carers about how to deal with different situations. The manual was broken down into manageable sections and Canadian wirobound to ensure ease of use. Several sets of self assessment sheets were included at the back of the guide to aid carers in tracking their progress.
